The Dunsley Electric Booster Heater unit is offered as an optional
extra for any open fire central heating system. It is designed to
boost the temperature of the radiators when the fire is low or out
to ensure a more consistant general temperature. It normally uses
night tariff electricity.
With
this booster package fitted, the open fire central heating system
becomes an automatically controlled system. It reduces the time
taken to bring your heating system up to normal operating
temperature.
A time
clock gives you full control and can be set to switch on the heater
at a pre-arranged time,i.e. one or two hours before rising in the
morning or before arriving home from work.
The
booster heater supplied with one 3kW (10,236 BTU's) element or two
3kW (20,472 BTU's).
The 3kW unit complete consists of Booster
unit,Heater unit. The 6kW unit complete consists of Booster unit,
Heater unit, and contactor switch, the contactor switch is required
to take the extra load of the 6kW unit.
An adjustable thermostat is
also fitted in the head of the booster unit to enable the Booster to
control the heat flowing through the unit at the set temperature. A
high setting would normally be required.
All Booster tubes are
pressure-tested and prepared ready for use before leaving our works.
